Saddleworth Parish Council holds its annual Saddleworth in Bloom competition in July every year to celebrate the pride of its gardens and gardeners.
The judges represent the Parish Council, the Chairman's charity, and an expert landscaping officer from Oldham Council.
The awards include Best Small Garden, Best Medium Garden, Best Large Garden, Best Blooming Pub, and Best Community Garden and recognising that for many people they are unable to have their own garden, the Council recently introduced the Best Container Garden category. In 2023, we also introduced an Under 16's Young Gardener award.
In order to be considered for a prize, gardens should be entered into the competition before the judging day, by calling the Parish Council on 01457 876665, or emailing enquiries@saddleworthparishcouncil.org.uk
