Visitor Information Centre

In April 2008 the Parish Council stepped in to help save the small tourist information shop which is situated within Saddleworth Museum building at the entrance and adjacent to the Museum Shop. The survival of the award winning centre was seen as essential for the long term prosperity of the museum and tourist businesses in Uppermill.

The Council worked in partnership with Oldham Council and the Museum staff to ensure that visitors continued to receive a high quality service. The Parish Council is continuing to provide financial and staff support to the service.
