Following our consultation with residents and statutory consulates, we have extensively reviewed the Neighbourhood Plan, making a number of improvements at the request of residents. In particular, we have introduced specific new proposed protections for several locations across the Parish, in a new policy section on “Local Green Spaces”. There have also been changes to the document to improve its approach to promoting biodiversity, and to highlight the need for better requirements on healthcare and education.

This version of the Neighbourhood Plan will now proceed to a formal consultation by the Peak District National Park Authority and Oldham Council, before being put forward for checking by an Inspector.

In addition to the Neighbourhood Plan itself, we have prepared a supporting paper on Suggested Local Green Spaces, which formed the basis of our new Policy 4, which allocates four new Local Green Spaces.
